LF&E Employ Market Leading Temperature Mapping Company

By Jason Buckley | Blog, Food, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Refrigerated Transport, Temperature Controlled | 0 comment | 29 May, 2017 | 0

In November 2016, we enrolled market leading temperature mapping company Biomap to carry out our vehicle temperature monitoring review. This enables LF&E to provide an audit-able assurance that our vehicles are fully compliant and therefore our client’s consignments are in safe hands.

    What is Temperature Mapping?

As a business who works with temperature sensitive products, it is important that we can guarantee everything is stored and transported at the correct temperature. This is where temperature mapping comes in.

Temperature mapping works by calculating how efficiently a storage system is controlling temperature. In the case of LF&E Transport our vehicles have undergone vigorous testing over a 48 hour period. By mapping out the temperature changes that occur within the storage system, temperature mapping can work out whether or not it is working as well as it should be. It takes a number of different factors into consideration, such as the opening and closing of doors as well as movement. By using temperature mapping we are able to locate where the temperature changes are, the effect this has and how they can be reduced.

Benefits of Temperature Mapping for Customers

If you are trusting a professional business with your delivery, you want to know that it’s in safe hands. This means not only ensuring it arrives on time and in condition and more importantly transported thoughout at the correct temperature.

This is why we have used the market leading temperature experts Biomap for our temperature mapping to ensure that our clients benefit from:

    • Knowing that all temperature sensitive products have been stored at the ideal temperature on site and whilst in transit.
    • Knowing that all consignments are free of any bacteria that can be picked up through lack of refrigeration.
    • Knowing all medications have been stored correctly and remain safe to use.

Compromising the temperature of a consignment can have a damaging effect, which is why we conduct regular temperature mapping.
